Cross a column with a horizontal array
Enter one formula in G5. Return a three-row, four-column matrix. Each row uses its corresponding base amount from B2:B4; columns multiply that amount by 1, 2, 4 and 8. Apply the reduction in F2 to every result. Keep zero and signed amounts. B2:B4 are finite numbers within ±1,000,000; F2 is a numeric fraction from zero through one. Preserve all twelve positions even when every result is zero.
The answer cells begin blank. Enter a reusable formula and check it against the published practice datasets. Hints and the solution are available when you choose them.

A checkpoint records a fresh check of every dataset. This attempt tracks built-in hints, solutions, steps and worked examples; it does not establish independent authorship.
