Find the previous coupon date
=COUPPCD(A2,B2,C2,D2)Working backward in six-month intervals from December 15, 2028 gives December 15, 2025 as the coupon preceding settlement. The numeric date inputs are Excel serial dates; format a date result as a date to read it. Frequency is payments per year, not months per payment. Basis 0 is US 30/360; actual/actual and other bases can give different day counts. These are synthetic teaching terms.
