PivotTables · original practice scenario

Clear a focused PivotTable slicer filter

A Region slicer limits an expense PivotTable to East.

Start here: Windows desktop Excel; focus inside the slicer associated with a PivotTable

This does not clear every filter in the workbook. Outside the slicer, the same keys can act differently.

Follow these instructions in your own desktop Excel workbook. This page explains the operation; it does not send commands to Excel.

Windows keys and context

Microsoft documents this command in its Windows screen-reader slicer workflow. Focus must be on the slicer.

Alt+C

Filter your PivotTable using a slicer / Clear the filter. Microsoft reference ↗

Walk through the operation

  1. Use the documented screen-reader workflow to focus the Region slicer.
  2. With focus in that slicer, press Alt+C.

Instruction 1 of 2: Use the documented screen-reader workflow to focus the Region slicer.

Expected result: The filter from that slicer clears; other report filters can still apply.
