Selection · original practice scenario
Extend a selection left by one screen
Use a wide worksheet with no merged cells or frozen panes. Scroll right, select AZ4 and keep the Excel window size fixed.
Start here: Windows worksheet grid, starting far enough right to move left by one screen
At column A the boundary limits movement. This is not a jump to the first nonblank cell. Conflicting Mac documentation is not used for recall.
Follow these instructions in your own desktop Excel workbook. This page explains the operation; it does not send commands to Excel.
Windows keys and context
Windows only in this catalog. The publisher Mac key table uses Option while its prose says Command is required and Option does not work; that conflicting Mac binding is withheld.
Alt+Shift+PageUp
Publisher-documented binding. Native desktop execution has not been tested.

- Hold Alt and Shift while pressing PageUp once.
- Inspect the selection extending left from the AZ4 anchor.
- Release the keys and click AZ4 to reset the selection.
Instruction 1 of 4: Select AZ4 in the worksheet grid, far enough from column A to extend left.
