Extend a text selection one word left
Type Cedar Harbor Review in B2. Enter edit mode and place the caret immediately before Harbor for rightward selection, or immediately after Harbor for leftward selection.
Start here: Text insertion caret inside a cell editor, with no existing text selection
This selects text, not another worksheet cell. Whitespace can join a word selection; do not infer an exact character count for other strings or languages.
Follow these instructions in your own desktop Excel workbook. This page explains the operation; it does not send commands to Excel.
