Fill text from examples, then test the pattern

Write a few real examples, compare compatible transformations, inspect every unshown record and apply a recoverable static fill.

This browser inference engine is independent of Microsoft Flash Fill. It searches text fields, delimiter components, initials, case changes and pairs of fragments. It does not promise every pattern Excel might infer.

Reformat the explicitly stored family, given fields as given family. Preserve spelling, spaces within each field, punctuation and case; trim only field edges.

  1. Write one or two literal examples in C2:C7. Preview ambiguity before accepting a transformation.
  2. Choose a rule that matches the task, including unshown rows. More examples may remove uncertainty.
  3. Apply, check every output and changed-input probe, then try Undo/Redo and current downloads.

Applied outputs are literal text. Changing a source does not update them automatically. Infer, inspect and fill again after source edits.

Zero, FALSE, error-looking text and a genuine error outside the fill range are retained in E11:E14. Downloaded outputs remain static text; the audit records the selected pattern and examples.
