Find the broken link, then prove the repair
Watch typed cells across three worksheets, follow applied formula sources, repair references and selection rules, and test missing keys and zero units. The starting workbook deliberately contains mistakes.
Trace each line, restore both selection conditions, define missing-key behavior and handle zero selected units.
- Capture a watch baseline. In the offset-units source, compare a genuine division error with the identical literal text in Report!B10.
- Follow Records!F3, selected gross, discount and net-per-unit through their applied references and actual calculations.
- Repair the four formulas. Keep five original IDs, typed numeric inputs and outside notes.
- Check all line/report cells and nine independent source changes. A valid repair must handle an unlisted zone and zero signed units.

The copied line has a fixed price reference. Follow its written sources before changing it.

These are the applied workbook’s current browser values, not editor drafts. Capture a comparison baseline to see value, type or formula changes. A genuine error differs from identical text.

Follow the written workbook references
Inspect the applied cell selected above. This recalculates the current workbook and captures its values; it does not apply the editor draft or complete the practice.
See the applied formula calculate
Select a formula from any worksheet. This copies the complete current workbook for two local calculations; it does not apply the editor draft or complete practice.
This cell has no applied formula. Enter one in the workbook or apply an example first.
Highlighting covers unqualified A1 ranges on the selected worksheet. Use the written-source inspector above to navigate qualified references.
Inspect the current formula
Read its written arguments or observe actual operation values in a separate local calculation. This action neither applies a draft nor grades an answer.
Calculate observations to inspect arithmetic, comparison, concatenation and reference operators. No operation values have been recorded yet.

Signed quantities may cancel. This exercise defines net per unit as zero when selected units are zero. Unit prices are nonnegative; source quantities/prices allow three decimals and discounts four decimals. Watches read browser calculation snapshots, written links include unused branches, and calculation observations remain separate from native Excel debugging or edit/save certification. All worksheet data stays in this browser.
