Connect slicers to two reports
Choose source items once, then decide which reports each field controls. Within a field, selected items combine with OR; connected fields combine with AND. Reports and means retain original records, including returns and numeric zeroes.

Choose your slicers
Remove clears that field’s selection. Insert starts at All and keeps its saved report connections. Undo restores both the control and its selection.
Current worksheet changes need checking or explicit helper repair.

Design and reuse a slicer style
Style the panel, header and eight item states. A shared edit changes every control attached to that name. Style Undo/Redo changes appearance only; selections and source records stay current. Native copies retain reusable styles. Formula/fixed proof copies retain the calculation worksheet.
A normal click keeps one item. Multi-select toggles its inclusion while keeping at least one source item. Clear restores All, including future source labels. A selected item with no current data stays selected and can be cleared.
Each count includes original records matching the other connected fields in at least one destination report. A record visible in both destinations counts once.

The browser source-record view is an inspector; in the workbook the slicers connect to the two PivotTables. Refresh after editing Source. A Mac Excel sample opened without repair and a Region selection updated both reports. Refresh, source edits, save/reopen and wider native configurations still require separate verification.
