← Pattern and selected-area fill

Repair missing labels in a real worksheet

Practice · cells are editable. Fill genuine blanks within selected column runs. Existing zero, false, empty text and formulas remain data. A leading blank stays blank; the header outside your selection is not a seed.

Explain the current workbook

These checks read applied worksheet cells. Editor fields prepare a change; use the matching action button to put that change into the worksheet. A saved record describes a checked attempt on this device.

Report formulas and the blank distinction

COUNTBLANK counts formulas returning empty text, while this fill treats those formulas as occupied. COUNT counts only numeric flags; COUNTA also counts logical and text values.

Sources and previews remain in this browser. Both modes keep target formatting. Ordinary unmerged, non-array selections support up to 400 cells; selected gaps start independent column runs. Error sources propagate as errors, while error-looking text stays text.
