Every original transaction remains in Source. The Included mask and actual Report show which rows pass the current selection. Teaching is read-only; switch to Your turn to edit.

Current worksheet changes need checking or calculation-helper recovery.

Design and reuse a slicer style

Style the panel, header and eight item states. A shared edit changes every control attached to that name. Style Undo/Redo changes appearance only; selections and source records stay current. Native copies retain reusable styles. Formula/fixed proof copies retain the calculation worksheet.

Region: built-in · Product: built-in · Month: built-in · Status: built-in

Create, remove and arrange working controls

Removing a control also clears that field’s filter. Adding it starts at All. Undo/Redo follows both control changes and item selections; style history remains separate. Hidden captions and hidden no-data items do not clear active filters.

Original geometry is 80 px per column and 20 px per row. Change the current grid dimensions to see which panels move or resize. The grid isa functional browser model; native copies retain the corresponding drawing anchors. Native Excel gestures and edit/save remain separate checks.

Three control-design tasks

  1. Select one Product item. Remove its control, undo to restore that exact selection, redo the removal, then add Product again. It must return at All.
  2. Select Region East, Product Harbor and Status Paid, with Month at All. Hide Region items without data and observe the hidden selected item. Clear Region from the external selection summary. Predict the resulting record count and signed Amount. Set the Region caption to “Region selector”, hide its caption, use two item columns, descending order and no-data items last.
  3. Use grid view. Keep Region fixed, let Product move without sizing and let Month move and size. Change the grid from 80/20 to 100/24 px and compare their actual rectangles.

Run the complete formula check after changing controls or filters, then check the relevant task here. These records describe bounded actions and predictions, rather than mastery or native Excel execution.

Counts respect the other fields. Item hiding and sorting change the displayed list, not the selected filter. Searching item labels changes the control list only. In multi-select mode, clicking an item while All is active removes that item; clearing the field restores All.

Up to six named filters stay in this browser. Reusing a name replaces it. A saved filter containing an item absent from the current source is rejected without changing your current selection.

Changes need a fresh formula check. Changing a selection cancels an older pending download.

Formula and fixed-value copies retain every source row and the current result. The native copy contains a named Table, four linked slicer definitions, AutoFilter selections, hidden excluded rows and SUBTOTAL summaries. Native opening, slicer clicks and save/reopen remain unverified.
