BESSELJ function
Returns the Bessel function Jn(x)
Syntax
BESSELJ(X, N)Square brackets indicate optional arguments.
Arguments
| Argument | Required | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| X | Yes | The value at which to evaluate the function.1.5 |
| N | Yes | The order of the Bessel function. If n is not an integer, it is truncated.1 |
Try BESSELJ
Evaluate an order-zero Bessel model coefficient
=BESSELJ(A2,B2)BESSELJ returns the first-kind Bessel function at x=1.25 with integer order 0. These coefficients occur in differential-equation models; choose the family required by the model rather than interchanging J, I, Y and K. Y and K require a positive real x. Fractional orders are truncated by Excel.
