Semiannual payments with US 30/360 have 360/2=180 days per coupon period. The numeric date inputs are Excel serial dates; format a date result as a date to read it. Frequency is payments per year, not months per payment. Basis 0 is US 30/360; actual/actual and other bases can give different day counts. These are synthetic teaching terms.
