Syntax
BYROW(array, lambda)Square brackets indicate optional arguments.
Arguments
| Argument | Required | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| array | Yes | An array to be separated by row.A1:C2 |
| lambda | Yes | A LAMBDA that takes a row as a single parameter and calculates one result. The LAMBDA takes a single parameter: A row from array.LAMBDA(array, MAX(array)) |
Try BYROW
Sum each row with the same LAMBDA body
=BYROW(A2:B4,LAMBDA(row,SUM(row)))Each row is passed to SUM separately: 4+6, 2+3 and 0+7. Three row totals spill vertically. The LAMBDA must return one result for each row.
