Square brackets indicate optional arguments.

Arguments

ArgumentRequiredMeaning
numberYesThe number you want to round and convert to text.1234.567

Try FIXED

Create fixed-decimal display text

=FIXED(A2,2,TRUE)

The number rounds to two decimals and TRUE removes thousands separators. The result is text for display, so retain the original numeric cell for arithmetic.

Inspect the current formula

Read its written arguments or observe actual operation values in a separate local calculation. This action neither applies a draft nor grades an answer.

Read the formula, one argument at a time

Explore the written function calls and their inputs. The calculation result belongs to the complete formula.

FIXED · top-level call
