Try ISERROR
Distinguish an error from text with identical characters
=HSTACK(ISERROR(A2),ISERROR(B2),ISTEXT(A2),ISTEXT(B2))ISERROR returns FALSE for the text in A2 and TRUE for the NA() result in B2. ISTEXT returns the opposite pair: TRUE,FALSE. Use the value type rather than the displayed characters when deciding how to handle missing data. The HSTACK display requires a supported modern Excel version; the individual checks can be put in separate cells.
Inspect the current formula
Read its written arguments or observe actual operation values in a separate local calculation. This action neither applies a draft nor grades an answer.
Read the formula, one argument at a time
Explore the written function calls and their inputs. The calculation result belongs to the complete formula.
