Z.TEST function
Returns the one-tailed probability-value of a z-test
Syntax
Z.TEST(array, x, [sigma])Square brackets indicate optional arguments.
Arguments
| Argument | Required | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| array | Yes | The array or range of data against which to test x.A2:A11 |
| x | Yes | The value to test.4 |
| sigma | No | The population (known) standard deviation. If omitted, the sample standard deviation is used.10 |
Try Z.TEST
Evaluate a one-sided test at the null mean
=Z.TEST(A2:A4,B2,C2)The sample mean equals the null mean 2, giving z=0 with the supplied positive population deviation. The right-tail p-value is 0.5. This is a one-sided test, not a two-sided confidence statement.
