Fill C2:G5 as twenty separate formulas. C uses UPPER, D LOWER and E PROPER on the same original row. F compares the original to E using EXACT. G uses CHOOSE and numeric B7: 1 selects C, 2 D, 3 E and 4 the untouched original B value. B2:B5 must be nonempty printable ASCII text up to 40 characters, including spaces, punctuation and numeric-looking spelling. Preserve all spaces and characters outside letter case. B7 is a numeric whole policy index 1..4. This bounded mechanical case comparison is not a name-correction service, title-style guide or multilingual capitalization certification.
Follow the highlighted cells. Switch to Your turn to edit. Answer cells: C2, C3, C4, C5, D2, D3, D4, D5, E2, E3, E4, E5, F2, F3, F4, F5, G2, G3, G4, G5. Browser calculations may differ from your Excel version.

B2:B5 accept nonempty printable ASCII text up to 40 characters. Keep spaces and reviewed spelling. B7 selects 1 Upper, 2 Lower, 3 mechanical PROPER or 4 original text. This comparison does not infer correct personal names or international casing.

These report formulas perform different jobs; do not fill the first formula down.
Compare the derived outputs beside the original text. Capitalization, spaces and actual missing cells are different decisions; a readable display alone does not prove that the stored text is correct.
Every output follows a declared case or line-separator rule. Change the actual source or control cell and inspect the recalculated report before exporting your current workbook.
Independent source-only checks cover eight retained populations and three changed-source probes. Both the formula copy and values-only copy retain the applied source and current results; teaching demonstrations alone do not award credit.
B2:B5 are literal printable ASCII text, including numeric-looking text and spaces. Do not trim or rewrite the original. These mechanical English examples do not prescribe correct personal names or international casing.
C and D change only letters. Spaces, punctuation and digits remain. Use these transformations only when the destination calls for that explicit policy.
E uppercases letters at the start or after nonletters and lowercases other letters. Digits, underscores and apostrophes create boundaries. Acronyms and reviewed mixed spelling can lose meaning.
F uses EXACT to compare the original with mechanical PROPER. A FALSE result means a spelling change, not proof that either form is correct. An ordinary equals comparison can ignore case.
B7 selects 1 uppercase, 2 lowercase, 3 mechanical PROPER or 4 original reviewed spelling. G reads the corresponding same-row value. Change the live control instead of editing a fixed answer.
Compare an acronym, an apostrophe and a reviewed mixed-case name. Recheck the complete source-dependent report and export the current formulas or frozen values.
A line break is an actual character. A space is nonempty text. A case-insensitive comparison can conceal a capitalization difference.
A consistent case policy is useful only when it fits the destination. Preserve reviewed identity spellings and inspect punctuation or acronym changes.
Current data, all retained sources and independent changed controls must produce the complete report.
