AMORDEGRC function

Deprecated French declining-balance depreciation function for old workbooks

Microsoft has deprecated this function following changes to French depreciation methodology. It is retained for compatibility with old workbooks. Returns the depreciation for each accounting period by using a depreciation coefficient. The browser adapter uses original dated examples and the legacy declining/half/final schedule, with 0, 1, 3 or 4 day-count bases and whole-unit rounding. The purchase year supplies the Actual/Actual denominator. It supports local source edits and array periods; native-client version differences and workbook round trips remain unverified.

Try AMORDEGRC

Recognize an invalid legacy asset life

=AMORDEGRC(A2,B2,C2,D2,1,E2,0)

A rate of 0.22 implies a life between four and five years. Microsoft documents this as a #NUM! domain error, which the browser follows. An uncached open-and-recalculate check on the current Excel for Mac returned 296 for this same input, so this boundary is not native-client equivalent.
