BINOM.DIST.RANGE function

Returns the probability of a trial result using a binomial distribution

Syntax

BINOM.DIST.RANGE(trials, probability_s, number_s, [number_s2])

Square brackets indicate optional arguments.

Arguments

ArgumentRequiredMeaning
trialsYesThe number of independent trials.60
probability_sYesThe probability of success on each trial.0.75
number_sYesThe number of successes in trials.45
number_s2NoIf provided, returns the probability that the number of successful trials will fall between number_s and number_s2.50

Try BINOM.DIST.RANGE

Combine one-success and two-success events

=BINOM.DIST.RANGE(A2,B2,C2,D2)

The inclusive event is one or two successes. Their sequence counts are 4 and 6, so the combined probability is 10/16.
