LOGNORMDIST function

Returns the cumulative lognormal distribution of x, where ln(x) is normally distributed with parameters mean and standard_dev. Use this function to analyze data that has been logarithmically transformed.

Syntax

LOGNORMDIST(x, mean, standard_dev)

Square brackets indicate optional arguments.

Arguments

ArgumentRequiredMeaning
xYesRequired. The value at which to evaluate the function.42
meanYesRequired. The mean of ln(x).40
standard_devYesRequired. The standard deviation of ln(x).1.5

Try LOGNORMDIST

Read the legacy LOGNORMDIST function name

=LOGNORMDIST(A2,B2,C2)

LOGNORMDIST is the compatibility name corresponding to LOGNORM.DIST. The logarithm of x=e is 1. Under the stated lognormal model, standardising ln(x) therefore gives z=1 and cumulative probability about 0.841345. Use the modern name when creating a new formula; the old spelling is useful when reading existing workbooks.
