Returns the inverse of the probability for the Student t-distribution (two-tailed)

Syntax

T.INV.2T(probability, degFreedom)

Square brackets indicate optional arguments.

Arguments

ArgumentRequiredMeaning
probabilityYesThe probability associated with the Student's t-distribution.0.75
degFreedomYesAn integer indicating the number of degrees of freedom.2

Try T.INV.2T

Find a positive cutoff for combined t tails

=T.INV.2T(A2,B2)

Combined tails with area 0.5 leave 0.5 between -1 and 1 for this one-degree distribution. The function returns the positive cutoff 1.
